Skya Livingston, CA CMT, Board Certified Massage Therapist

I am a Mother and Healer. I call myself an "Anatomical Engineer." My work is both nurturing and strategic. My goal is to restore anatomical balance, facilitate healing, ease pain in life and in child-bearing, and help you feel better!
As a Board Certified Massage Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher, my goal is to help restore anatomical balance and stimulate the body’s healing process. Having personally experienced the effectiveness of natural therapies in healing my own injuries, minimizing my scoliosis, and improving my overall well-being, I am eager to help others uncover this healing in themselves. From sports injuries to car accidents, I address injuries old and new as well as chronic pain.
I also specialize in pregnancy and post partum care!
I’ve been fascinated with the human body since childhood and have followed this passion through training in dance, martial arts, cycling, yoga and other movement modalities. The first half of my adult life was spent as an international guide for the active travel company, Backroads. I integrate these experiences into my approach to bodywork. Since my initial Swedish Massage Certification in 2001, I have continued to hone my skills and explore a variety of techniques with masterful teachers, providing me with a well-rounded toolbox. This includes training in: Shiatsu/Acupressure, CranioSacral Therapy, Medical Massage and Body Somatics (deep tissue work based on the structural integration theories of Ida Rolf.). I am currently delving into the study of Lymph Drainage Therapy and have dabbled in both Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Sessions typically integrate all of these modalities in order to best suit your individual needs. I am also specially certified in Pre-/Peri-natal Massage with special interest in postpartum care (please see separate page).
I am known by my clients for my listening and observation abilities, carefully tuning in to their bodies and energy as well as their words. Clients comment that I am “a talented and highly skilled therapist,” "genuinely interested in satisfying each client’s massage and wellness needs.” To read more about what clients have to say, click below.
I look forward to meeting and working with you, and guiding you on your path to well-being.

Zoey Anderson, CA CMT, Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner

After five years as a full-time birth doula I have transitioned to massage therapy. While many of the manual techniques were new, the deeper skills and instincts for interacting with, and supporting another person, in the moment, are the same. My birth clients have always talked about the calm, grounded support I provide, and my massage clients say the same thing.
As a doula, I became fascinated with fetal position in pregnancy and birth, and the ways physiology, environment and stress can impact it. This lead me to Spinning Babies, Down to Earth Birth and Birthing from Within. I eventually became a Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner and Spinning Babies Parent Educator, and my doula practice was changed by what I learned. My clients were more comfortable in pregnancy and slept well up to the end. More of their births were straightforward, and when they weren’t, I often had a tool that would get things on track.
Massage training deepened my understanding of anatomy and gave me many new tools. I combine some new tools, including myofascial therapy, burn scar massage and sports massage techniques, with those I already had to provide balancing, comforting massage for pregnant and postpartum people, and everyone else.

Sierra Onnah Sisk, CA CMT, Tui Na Specialist

My bodywork sessions are integrative, using the body as a gateway for holistic healing of body, mind and spirit. I bring an intuitive creativity to the art of an unfolding healing process with each individual. As a Tui Na Specialist and a life-long student of Chinese Medicine, I utilize taoist principles, coupled with somatic movement therapy, to bring a practice of body-mind integration to the healing experience.
Tui Na is the manual therapy branch of Chinese Medicine, alongside acupuncture and herbal medicine. I practice a style of Tui Na Massage called wind and water style, which is gentle and rhythmic, harnessing the power of wind and water to create powerful change over time. This style of Tui Na Therapy utilizes the principles of Classical Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong. Each session is a full body tuning, aligning structure with function, supporting fluid dynamics through the fascia, bringing flexibility and greater circulation to all tissues. Techniques are employed along the acupressure meridian system to open the body tissues to new options for movement, internal regulation of hormones, fluids, and innervation for efficient and easeful movement. Tui Na sessions support greater health and well-being, freeing the body form habitual patterns of dis-comfort & trauma.
For each individual, treatments encourage functional systems to re-establish strong biochemical & physiological communication and support healing at deep levels, bringing greater overall ease and more vital health. With each session you will relax, reduce stress, anxiety and fatigue, and maintain ease of movement and positive emotional response to daily demands. In addition to addressing physical pain, Tui Na can address issues of the digestive system, fertility and hormonal issues, as well as emotional disruption or strong experiences of all kinds, including trauma that is stored in the body.
I show up with embodied communication and empathetic listening, facilitating interpersonal connection that supports transforming pain and discord. I draw on teachings and experiences from a wide variety of influences, including Chinese Medical philosophy, Taoist energetics,
Chi Nei Tsang, and 5 element Qi Gong. I am also trained to understand the body and relationships through scientific principles of anatomy, physiology, ecology and systems science. My incorporation of developmental movement therapy and somatic movement education allows me to offer repatterning exercises and guided facilitation to support access to the underlying nervous system patterns supporting realignment of structure and functional shifts in movement patterns. I hold a bachelor degree in the Biological Sciences, I am a California Certified Massage Therapist and Somatic Movement Educator with a specialty in Tui Na Therapy and Acupressure.
I have a specialty in working with women’s health and particularly with pregnancy and postpartum recovery. I am able to support women in activating labor through acupressure treatment to stimulate the natural shift as pregnancy term comes to an end. I also have great success working with emotional and physical balancing in the postpartum period.
I have worked as a body work doula and considered becoming a midwife. While I decided to continue with my hands on healing gifts and not pursue that path, I am honored to serve individuals and families through this powerful rite of passage with my nurturing and empathetic style, strengthening the ground of healthy families.
I look forward to supporting your health and well being.
